Stories of Belonging
Hello and welcome to my new space, Stories of Belonging! 🌿
This project was born from my curiosity and love for the stories of Italian families in Vancouver. Here, I’ll be interviewing Italian grandparents and Italian immigrants, people who have crossed oceans and generations, carrying with them traditions, recipes, and memories that tell their story—and our culture.
With Stories of Belonging, I want to:
- Keep Italian traditions alive, even far from Italy.
- Explore cultural heritage, family bonds, and the connections between generations.
- Share family recipes, those small acts of cooking that speak volumes about the lives of the people who prepare them.
Every interview is a journey into memory, a chance to learn how food, family, and culture travel across oceans—and how they continue to live on in new homes.
