Chocolate Lava Cake
About this Recipe
This is an amazing dessert for the chocolate lover. The recipe is very easy to follow; one very important step is to make sure to grease the ramekins with butter very well before you put the chocolate sauce in.
- 200 grams Chocolate
- 160 grams Sugar
- 180 grams Butter room temperature
- 4 Eggs room temperature
- 40 grams Flour
- Icing sugar
- A sprinkle of love
In a double boiler, over simmering water, melt the chocolate and the butter. You can also do this step in the microwave but you need to melt the chocolate first before to adding the butter.
Pour the chocolate sauce in a bowl and add the sugar. Mix with a fork or a whisk. When the sauce is cooled down a little bit add the eggs, one at the time making sure to incorporating each egg to the sauce before to add another one. Add the flour and mix very well.
Grease and lightly cover with cacao 6 or 8 ramekins depend how big they are. Tap out the excess cacao. This step is very important; make sure to butter all around your ramekins. With a ladle pour some sauce in it, you should be able to have 6-8 ramekins filling them a little bit more than half.
Put the chocolate lava cake in Freezer for at least 1 hour. Turn oven on at 410 and cook your delicious dessert for between 15 to 20 minutes. In my oven I usually cook it for 17 to 19 minutes, check one first. What I usually do while I check the first one, I take the other one out of oven, leaving the oven on in case I need to cook longer the lava cake.
